A Mail Transport Agent (MTA), MUST be capable of sending and receiving mail using SMTP in accordance with RFC822 is used

All GSi bound email MUST be routed by the GSi GCSX mail relay using the organisation's GSi connection

GCSX No 22.3 Mail Servers

The mail server MUST initiate all transfers of mail to and from the proxy

The source email address for all email sent from a GCSX connected network MUST be of the format: username@organisation.gcsx.gov.uk

It is RECOMMENDED that Organisations do not allow their GCSX email address to be used as a source address by any other organisation

Users MUST not use their GCSX email address as a sender field when emailing content from the Internet to GSi

GCSX No 22.7 Mail Servers

Any commissioned web development activity MUST not use the GCSX domain names as source addresses in emails generated outside the GSi
